As with most roguelikes, knowledge and familiarity are key. We developed a strategy over time, hitting outposts for levels and weapons, and using flasks and stats to our advantage. But even with our strategy, bosses still posed a challenge.

The Map and Its Potential

Nightreign's map is filled with familiar locations, but there are concerns about the lack of variation. The wizard towers, for example, need to be more complex. Ishizaki hints at future changes, like large-scale terrain alterations and meta progression.

Without complete item descriptions, it's hard to develop sophisticated strategies. But the potential for a more varied and interesting map is there. We hope that these issues are just a part of the early build and that the final game will deliver.
